Who Are We?

Hey there, fabulous folks! We’re Holly and the gang (which includes my four-legged pals, of course) here at Nordic & Native, where we believe that life is too short for boring pillows and sad dog sweaters. We’re a quirky little shop born from the wild idea that dogs deserve to strut their stuff just as much as we do! (Seriously, have you seen a pup in a hoodie? It’s a sight for sore eyes!)

As a half Norwegian, half Native American gal, I’ve sprinkled a little bit of my heritage into everything we create. Think of us as your friendly neighborhood purveyors of comfort and culture, where every product tells a story—like that vibrant KITSCH satin pillowcase that’s practically begging you to take a nap on it. (Trust us, your hair will thank you!)

We kicked off this adventure in 2024, right here in Yuba City, because I was tired of hearing “no dogs allowed” at every store. I mean, come on! If kids can come in, why can’t our furry friends? So, we decided to create a space where both humans and their canine companions can find stylish, functional goodies that make life a little more fun. (And yes, we’re still working on that dog-friendly grocery store idea!)

-I belong to the federally recognized Native American tribe, The North Fork Mono Indians of California. We have over 3K tribal members.
